Is this how you help veterans? – Dan Seibert for State Rep

It takes more than words

Next time Rep. Griffin claims to be acting in the interests of our veterans remember her vote on this. This bill allows those responsible to hide from accountability by adding time consuming and expensive obstacles to victims (including many veterans and first responders) trying to seek justice. Considering that, on average, those suffering from mesothelioma only have a 12-18 month life expectancy, time is not something they can afford.

The deceptively named “Asbestos Bankruptcy Transparency Act” is based on ALEC model legislation and pushed by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce (who coincidentally endorsed and donated $7500 to Rep. Griffin).
